The last in the Maserati Merak series. This one has the larger V6 engine and “Normal” braking system. (as earlier ones had the Citroen hydraulic brakes).
A very good handling Italian sports car that was to compete head on with the Dino 246 and the Lamborghini Uracco (other mid engined, V6 sports cars). They are very pleasing to look at and loads of fun to drive...and still a good value compared to it's competitors. On this particular one, we opted for the more pleasing “Bora” bumpers since the bodies are essentially the same.
